In our Bat Mitzvah program, the Bat Mitzvah girls embark on a journey of exploration into what it means to be a Jewish woman. We look at many of the main rituals, beliefs and concepts in a meaningful and relevant way.
Throughout the sessions, the girls are encouraged to question their values, beliefs and goals, and formulate a positive, Jewish approach to their lives. Our annual program is run by our outstanding teachers who relate to the girls and their needs.
The program consists of 1 weekly lesson held at Caulfield Shule for six months coinciding with the school term dates culminating in a presentation and kiddush in June. The program includes learning about the meaning of a bat mitzvah, Judaism, community and developing a connection to the Shule. The program is fun, educational and the children come out with a great new set of friends.
The program then continues with the StandUp ABC social justice program.
