The Future of the Caulfield Hebrew Congregation (CHC)

Realizing the urgent imperative of preserving and advancing “Jewish Continuity” in the diaspora, David has had a 30 year dream - to create a place for all demographics, from 9 months to 99 years. The goal is to transform the CHC affectionately known as “Caulfield shule” into a Jewish Community Centre of excellence for learning, social interaction, delivery of programs and innovative and traditional services that are connection relevant and engaging for Melbourne Jewry in the year 5780 and beyond.

This strategic plan requires these activities to be housed in a building that is fit for purpose; one that is capable of delivering on our strategic goals. The plan is therefore to build a new and sustainable (CHC) Jewish Community Centre and fully refurbished synagogue for the long term benefit of the Melbourne Jewish Community.
